Things You Need to Know About Delta 8 THC before Buying Delta 8 Gummies

The release of the 2018 Farm Bill has made way for innovation in the hemp industry. Now, Delta 8 THC has become the talk of the town, and many companies are producing Delta 8 squares due to a rise in the demand for this cannabinoid. But what is Delta 8 THC? And are delta 8 squares safe for everyone?

Delta 8 is a lot like Delta 9 THC. One would just have to truly understand the dosing amount and to always start low and increase based on effect. If you want to learn more about Delta 8 and CBD products, click here to read our blogs.

ATLRx has been providing CBD and other hemp products and cannabinoids since 2019. So, whether you want to buy Delta 8 squares or Delta 8 flower, we’re here to help!

Now, let‘s get into our main topic of discussion and take a look at everything you need to know before buying squares that contain Delta 8.

Table of contents:

1. What Are Delta 8 THC Squares?

Delta 8 squares contain Delta 8 THC, which is regarded as the younger brother of Delta 9 THC. Delta 8 is produced from the hemp plant, meaning a cannabis plant with less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC concentration. Delta 8 can be extracted from the hemp flower using a chemical conversion process called fractional distillation, which converts CBD to Delta 8.

Like other THC products, Delta 8 THC squares come in a variety of different strengths and shapes. At ATLRx, we always recommend our customers to start low with dosing. Overtime, you will find the right dosage amount for you.

2. Are These Squares Legal?

The legal matters surrounding Delta 8 and all of its products are complex. According to federal law, anything containing less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC is legal. However, no laws have been passed regarding Delta 8. So, this means that Delta 8 is federally legal.

Some states have imposed a ban on Delta 8; these include Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, Colorado, and Delaware. So before buying a Delta 8 product, make sure it is still legal in your state.

Additionally, our delta 8 squares have a QR code, which scanned would take you directly to the lab report. The ingredients of our squares are listed on the label and are made from a vegan formula. Most delta 8 square vendors don’t provide this transparency, which ATLRx strives to educate customers about.

When purchasing delta 8 THC squares, always remember that we send each package with a notice to law enforcement, explaining the products that we are shipping. We also include a comprehensive delta 8 dosing guide to help customers.

Where we are based in Atlanta, Georgia, at the time of writing this article, Delta 8 THC products are 100% legal in the state of GA. If Delta 8 legality is questioned, ATLRx will discontinue selling those products, in accordance with the law.

3. How Do These Squares Work?

Our squares are some of the most potent ones you’ll find in the market, offering both 30 mg and 60 mg options, as well as single serve 100 mg squares. So, if you’re new to Delta 8, we recommend starting with a quarter or half square. Usually, the squares are at their peak after three to four hours, and the overall experience lasts for anywhere between 4-8 hours.

4. When Should I Avoid Squares?

Although the psychoactive effects of delta 8 are lower than that of delta 9, you should still follow proper SOPs when using squares. For example, avoid using heavy machinery or driving a vehicle.

It will also be good to avoid mixing it with other medications or substances, such as alcohol. In addition, if you’re on any medication, it will be best to consult your doctor before using Delta 8 THC squares or any cannabinoids. Cannabis does play a role with other medications, and basic knowledge helps us understand that if you have any conditions of the heart/blood, we highly recommend you talk to a physician before trying any delta 8 or CBD products.

It is also pertinent to mention; Delta 8 THC will show up on a drug test since these tests are not advanced enough to differentiate between Delta 8 and Delta 9. So, if you are required to pass a drug test or if your job requires you to take one regularly, you should avoid using these squares.

5. Can I Use CBD with Delta 8 and are there any side effects?

Yes, it is safe to use Delta 8 and CBD in conjunction. However, it is important to remember that CBD will minimize the psychoactive effects of Delta 8 even further.

If delta 8 THC is too strong, we would recommend doing a 3:1 ratio of CBD:THC.. Most medical cannabis patients aim for 2:1 CBD:THC ratio in understanding the dosing of their cannabinoids.

6. Infused, sprayed or injected – how does the delta 8 get in my square?

Many companies produce a delta 8 square by spraying or injecting the final product. That is not good, because each square will not get an equal amount of delta 8 THC. With sprayed gummies, you will notice that one piece is not as effective as the other, which makes sense since a human will be usually doing the spraying process. With injection, it’s the same process. After the gummies are made, they will be injected with delta 8 THC distillate. This will provide an awful consistency, and won’t ship well either, since the distillate tends to leak out of squares.

Squares that are infused during the initial creation, is where the delta 8 THC will be equally distributed across the square. Infused squares are easy to be cut into smaller pieces, especially for micro dosing delta 8 THC. Our ATLRx squares provide an infused square in a variety of strengths.

7. How are the squares made?

ATLRx squares are made using the highest manufacturing process. It all starts with the delta 8 THC distillate, which is produced from CBD. Delta 8 distillate (or many like to call it “delta 8 disty”), is the core ingredient that is used to make all our delta 8 products: squares, vapes, concentrates, flowers. The distillate is mixed into the formula at a low temperature (without flavoring), and not making sure the temperature does not get too high. At high temperatures, Delta 8 THC converts into another cannabinoid called CBN. Once the distillate is emulsified, the squares are then separated for different flavors. Once the flavors are added, they are placed in a mold for 24-48 hours. Once the squares have formed a shape, they go through a sugar sift and sit on the dryer racks for another 5-6 days (depending on the amount of moisture in the air that day – who would have thought). Once they have dried thoroughly, a sample of each strength is sent to a registered lab for a final test result.

ATLRx squares are 100% vegan and gluten-free, made using quality ingredients and a quality process! We make sure every one of our customers is absolutely satisfied with our delta 8 squares!
