We got creative during time spent at our house. We love our morning coffee at our favorite local spots and decided to recreate our favorite flavored lattes at home. You can store them in your refrigerator for up to a month!
And the best thing about making homemade lattes is that you have full control over the latte flavorings and latte ingredients. That’s always great because you’re not only able to make healthy lattes but you can make them as sweet and flavored as you want. No more too sweet, too cinnamony or too mild lattes – you have full control!
You really can make any flavor of simple syrup. They are perfect for cooking with, frostings, syrups or cocktails. Today we made a Rose Latte with almond milk. Since it’s June and flowers have bloomed, this felt like the perfect start to a summer morning.
How to make Simple Syrup:
Ingredients:
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
Pour 2 cups & 2 cups of sugar into a sauce pan. Add in whatever fruit, spice, flavor you want the simple syrup to taste like. We made chai, coconut, rose & lavender syrups. Bring to a boil, turn off and let sit for 30 minutes. Strain, then enjoy!
You can really get creative with flavors! What are your favorite syrups for a creative latte?
